Rive Gauche | What Constitutes a Home?
"What Constitutes a Home?"
What Constitutes a Home? Is it a pile of materials? An aesthetic embellishment? Or a display of desires? It is originally a space, a square, a combination of concrete and steel. When we fill it with luxurious ornaments, it becomes a magnificent exhibition hall; when filled with boring haystacks, it transforms into a rudimentary hut. But let light shine in, and even without any furnishings, one still feels warmth and joy within. It varies with individuals, possessing plasticity in the role of humans.
Designing for humans is an effort to create a better living state, helping people observe life and comprehend its essence, allowing design to interact with life and humans to blend with space.
In a 300㎡ residence in Foshan Chancheng, design is integrated into humanity. In the originally empty space, with a concise and lively approach, the flexible application of points, lines, and surfaces introduces light, animating the space and naturally evoking a sense of warmth and happiness at home.
"The Poetic Life of Integrated Furnishings"
Immaculate and pure, escaping the trappings of pandering to the crowd, it searches for the essence of life amidst restraint and forbearance, gradually sinking into a comfortable and natural domestic scene.
The residence primarily uses materials such as white oak veneer, walnut wood veneer, and painted finishes to present an integrated overall home atmosphere, avoiding visual redundancy and burden. Through the connection of wall panels and ceiling, it flows throughout various spaces, eliminating barriers; it flows through every moment of life, compiling poetry.
"LDK Living, Dining, Kitchen Area | The Fulfillment of Wisdom and Clarity"
Balance underlies the connection between humans and life.
Regarding the integrated design of the LDK living, dining, and kitchen area, we advocate an open lifestyle. The story unfolding from the living room is the fulfillment of wisdom and clarity.
A bookcase without a top cover holds the wisdom of predecessors. The meticulous adjustment of the four-in-one hardware fittings ensures a smooth and flat transition between the cabinet body and door. The design is both reasonable and unexpected; the application of coated glass extends the visual field, brightening the space, and occasionally allows the scenery of the four seasons to sneak in under the penetration of light.
"LDK Living, Dining, Kitchen Area | The Joy of Open Social Interaction"
Using the kitchen and dining area as the focal point, we speak plainly and directly.
Form follows function, balancing aesthetics with functionality.
With embedded designs for wine cabinets, refrigerators, induction cookers, etc., the western kitchen area returns to a tidy and orderly appearance. Then, with the contrasting shades of wood, the spaces are connected and interesting.
"Landscape Balcony | In the Hours of Morning and Evening"
Between light and dark, with light and shadow as the axis, a U-shaped landscape balcony introduces natural light. The shallow tranquility and deep wooden tones gradually deepen, remembering the moments of life in the alternation and cycle of dawn and dusk.
"Bedroom Space | The Reconciliation of the Self and the Healing of Midnight"
"Originally there was nothing, where does dust come from?" Furnishings should conceal their sharpness within the scene. Design for humans naturally arises with the emotional tone of the space, allowing people to truly become the subjects of the space.
The bedroom storage cabinet collects emotions and interests. The wall panel and integrated hidden door block all distractions, and their fusion softens the conflict of materials in the space.
"Functional Space | The Brightness of Ascent and the Solidness of Regression"
People always consciously or unconsciously aspire towards brightness, which points to the spirit and beauty of all things.
To create a natural and pure solidity, the stair wall panels render an atmosphere with alternating shades of deep and light. The intertwining of horizontal and vertical lines, angles, and curves, meet in their respective universes, plotting the orbit of time and space. Ascending naturally accompanies; regressing brings brightness and solidity. Under the accompaniment of light and shadow, it engraves a golden era.
"What Constitutes a Home?"
What Constitutes a Home?
It is a sanctuary of relaxation and authenticity, a sense of happiness within; it is also the warmth of human life. Outside, we have become others; at home, we seek our true selves.
